FRANKLIN, Tenn. (WSMV) - A suspicious-person call at a Middle Tennessee truck stop led to the arrest of an Arkansas man wanted in connection with an investigation involving suspected human remains, according to the Franklin Police Department.

Franklin officers responded Friday, Aug. 21, and identified the man as Rudy Ray, 56, of Trumann, Arkansas.

Police said they contacted authorities in Arkansas and learned they were seeking warrants charging Ray with abuse of a corpse and tampering with physical evidence.

Arkansas authorities said the charges are connected to a missing-person investigation involving a woman and the discovery of what are believed to be human remains at a property in Arkansas.

Franklin police arrested Ray on a fugitive-from-justice charge. He is being held in the Williamson County Jail on a $1 million bond pending extradition.
